Activities from 2013–2015

On March 13, 2015, concert pianist Martina Cukrov-Jarrett performed a solo recital in Beijing, China, as part of the Foundation’s Si-Yo Presents™ series of concerts;

On March 12, 2015, Si-Yo sponsored a Master Class taught by concert pianist Martina Cukrov-Jarrett to students from Si-Yo Arts Partner™, the International Music Institute of China™;

On December 22, 2014, Si-Yo sponsored a Master Class taught by Si-Yo Artist™ Soyeon Park to students from Si-Yo Arts Partner™, the International Music Institute of China™;

On December 20-21, 2014, Si-Yo Artist™ Soyeon Park performed solo recitals in Jinan City and Beijing, China as part of the Foundation’s Si-Yo Presents™ series of concerts;

On November 1, 2014, Si-Yo Artist™ Gerard Teissoniere performed at George Tong Galleries, Beijing, as part of the Foundation’s Si-Yo Presents series of concerts;   

On September 13, 2014, Si-Yo presented Si-Yo Artist™ Tara Hofmeister-Sheng at the Dorothy Young Center for the Arts, Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, as part of the Foundation’s Si-Yo Presents™ series of concerts;

From July 10-12, 2014 the 2014 Rach Fest, an annual music festival organized around the works of composer Sergei Rachmaninoff, was held at Princeton University and Steinway Hall venues under the sponsorship of Si-Yo; 

From June 29, 2014 to July 3, 2014, the 2014 Amati Music Festival was held at Princeton University under the sponsorship of Si-Yo;

On April, 11, 2014 Si-Yo held a spring benefit concert at Neiman-Marcus Last Call Studio at the Bergen Town Center Mall in Paramus, NJ, at which both classical music students and their Si-Yo Artist™ teachers participated;

In April, 2014, Si-Yo circulated a Memorandum of Agreement to a roster of classical musicians, including Tara Hofmeister-Sheng, Alejandro Mendoza, Francisca Mendoza, Soyeon Park, Shai Rosenboim and Dan Zhu, who would become “Si-Yo Artists™”  All responded in the affirmative, and duly executed the respective memoranda of agreements;

In January, 2014, Si-Yo co-sponsored a solo performance by Si-Yo Artist™ Shai Rosenboim in Jinan City, Shandong Province, China;

In January, 2014, Si-Yo began digitizing its archives from the early period of the Foundation (1966-1990);

In December, 2013 Si-Yo held a holiday benefit concert at Neiman-Marcus Last Call Studio at the Bergen Town Center Mall in Paramus, NJ, at which both classical music students and their Si-Yo Artist™ teachers participated;

On November 29, 2013, the Si-Yo Chairwoman delivered a presentation of Si-Yo history to an audience of Chinese environmentalists on a LeBoreal cruise ship;

On October 5, 2013, Si-Yo co-sponsored the Opening Concert at the Museo del Violino in Cremona, Italy.

In October and November, 2013, Si-Yo extended invitations for arts partnerships to the Confucius Institute of Cleveland, the Museo del Violino in Cremona, Italy, the Friends of Stradivari, EduChina, Verdi Jiang Jie Music School, International Music Institute of China, Neiman-Marcus Last Call, Jinan Foreign Languages High School.  All responded in the affirmative, and most have actively co-sponsored events throughout 2014.
