Thurnauer School of Music and Si-Yo Music Society Foundation Announce Arts Partnership
The JCC Thurnauer School of Music and Si-Yo Music Society Foundation announce the establishment of their affiliation as official arts partners. As two major organizations serving the musical community of northern New Jersey and beyond, the organizations hope, through future collaborations, to supplement and enhance each other’s programming, thereby increasing their combined impact.
Dorothy Kaplan Roffman, founding director of the Thurnauer School of Music said, “We are delighted to partner with Si-Yo Foundation which shares our passion for promoting high quality music to everyone in the community through supporting education, performance, and young artists.”
Said Eva Lerner-Lam, president of Si-Yo Music Society Foundation, "We are happy to partner with the Thurnauer School of Music. The School is an ideal collaborator for our Foundation due to its longtime promotion of music appreciation, its commitment to making music accessible to as many people as possible, and its special focus on youth education and performance opportunities."
About Si-Yo Music Society Foundation
Founded in 1966, Si-Yo Music Society Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational and cultural institution dedicated to inspiring a global community with classical music. Believing that live classical music should be available to everyone, the Foundation offers educational and community outreach events to those with limited exposure to classical music, such as schoolchildren from remote areas and senior center residents. It also presents concerts in traditional performance venues including Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. For more information visit Si-YoMusic.org.
